Phil Rand
Chief Executive Officer - Close Biography
Mr. Rand has over thirty years of financial experience of which seventeen have been in the upstream energy sector. Prior to joining Equator, he had been chief executive officer of Burren Energy, group treasurer of Monument Oil & Gas and held senior financial roles at Deminex and Louisiana Land & Exploration. Mr. Rand has been instrumental in several early-stage businesses and has significant experience in upstream project finance, with his largest deal being the non-recourse project finance for Monument’s Liverpool Bay development. His financial management experience also encompasses the services area where he has been finance director of Utilyx and group treasurer of both Sema Group and CMG. Mr. Rand is a Fellow of the Association of Corporate Treasurers.

Philip Dimmock,
MA
Chief Operating Officer - Close Biography
Prior to joining Equator, Mr. Dimmock served as general manager of operations of Houston-based Vanco where he oversaw the company’s exploration activities in Africa, including the drilling of offshore and deepwater wells in Equatorial Guinea, Morocco and Cote d’Ivoire. Prior thereto, he was vice president of international operations for five years with Ranger Oil where he was responsible for the company’s operations in the North Sea and West Africa. Mr. Dimmock began his career at British Petroleum where he spent 26 years and held a number of senior positions. He currently serves as a non-executive director of Nautical Petroleum PLC.

Wade Cherwayko, BS
Non-executive Director - Close Biography
Over
the last fourteen years, Mr. Cherwayko has
been active in negotiating, developing and
financing a number of projects in West and
North Africa. Such projects have included
the acquisition, financing, exploration
and development of several onshore and offshore
oil and gas assets for Mart Resources Inc.,
Abacan Resource Corporation, Centurion Energy
International Inc., Equator and Yinka Folawiyo
Petroleum Company Ltd. Prior to working
in West Africa, Mr. Cherwayko acted as a
geological consultant for a number of oil
companies with operations in Canada, the
United States and South America. He is currently
a director of Mart Resources Inc.

Ted Giletti
Non-executive Director - Close Biography
Mr. Giletti is presently a non-executive director of Banco Africano de Investimentos, a private Angolan bank and is also a director of Angola Capital Partners, a private equity fund management company. He has over thirty years banking experience involving primarily structured finance products. In 1978 he joined Bankers Trust Company, where he headed the Energy Merchant Bank focusing on emerging markets structured finance and advisory initiatives in the FSU, Africa, Mid-East, and East Europe.He was subsequently with Union Bank of Switzerland, UBS Warburg Dillon Read, and Standard Chartered Bank where headed up the Africa investment banking businesses for those firms. He began his career with the Federal Reserve Bank of New York as an economist.

Dr Kenneth Seymour
Director – Equator Exploration Nigeria Limited - Close Biography
Prior to joining Equator in June 2006, Dr. Seymour was an independent consultant and served Roc Oil as their General Manager in Angola. Previously, he developed his career in Ranger Oil in positions ranging from senior drilling engineer to general manager. He was the Director of Business Development when Ranger was sold to Canadian Natural Resources. His started his career with BP as a drilling engineer in the North Sea and China followed by a spell with Danbury Drilling as a consulting engineer.
